CPOrderMakerMagento – CounterPoint and Magento Order Interface Program
Multiple Magento eCommerce Websites can be imported into multiple CounterPoint Web Stores or into the same Store
Note: A license is required for each domain name being used

Automatic Customer Creation – Customers are created in CounterPoint with billing and shipping information identifying new customers by their email address

Automatic Assinging of Existing Customers – Exiting customers in CounterPoint are assigned to an imported order when a matching email address is found

Mapping State Names – State Names are automatically converted to abbreviations (ex: New York formatted to NY)

Custom State Name mapping tables are prepopulated for USA and Canada, but also allow the ability to abbreviate any international state names

Phone numbers are formatted (ex: 5187830222 formatted to: 518-783-0222)

Orders are populated with customer bill to and ship to information

Magento Gift Messages are imported as CounterPoint Order Note (Note: Magento API only provides Gift Message Body text. Gift Message To and From fields are not available, but can still be seen on Order Email that is received from Magento)

Order Deposit transactionsare created automatically

Deposit Tickets will be assigned to an active drawer session for the eCommerce drawer specified, otherwise the eCommerce drawer will be auto-activated

Magento Order numbers are used as CounterPoint Order Numbers for easy identification

Duplicate Order Checking – If a duplicate order number is found in CounterPoint’s Open orders or order history tables the OrderImport will skip over that order and record the duplicate order number in the log file

Order Importing Batching – Order import batch sizes can be specified to limit the number of orders imported during a single import process. This is extremely helpful when attempting to import a large number of orders. (For example: one customer had 2000+ orders from CyberMonday which they were able to successfully import by using a batch size limit of 100 orders)

Tax Codes- Tax codes can be specified for taxable and non-taxable sales (For example: Taxable sales use tax code “MAGENTO”. Non-taxable sales use “OST”)

For complicated tax calculations in Magento we recommend using AvaTax from Avalara

Shipping Charges are imported into the Misc Charge 1 field

Shipping Methods - All Ship Via methods can be imported including UPS, Fedex, Customer Pick-up, Flat Rate, etc

Custom Shipping Method Mapping tables can be used to map any shipping method from Magento to a valid Ship-Via code in CounterPoint SQL

Order Discounts are imported into the Misc Charge 5 field

Note: Credit Card Information can NOT be transferred from Magento to CounterPoint due to security restrictions of PCI compliance

Future Development Plans

  • Email Error Notification – Emails will be sent automatically including any order import error messages such as “Item number does not exist in CounterPoint”
  • In Beta Testing - Tracking number that is attached to an order in CounterPoint will be uploaded back to Magento
  • In Beta Testing – If using Gift Cards in Magento  there is an add-on module for CPOrderMaker that must be purchased.
